โœ–๏ธ Multiplier Gambit

All-in on score multipliers for the biggest possible scores

Hard - High Risk, High Reward

๐Ÿ“‹ Strategy Overview

The Multiplier Gambit strategy goes all-in on ร—2, ร—3, or even higher multipliers. A modest 15-point hand becomes 45 points with a ร—3 multiplier. But if your multiplier gets sabotaged or your base is too low, you crash and burn.

Base 15 ร— 3 = 45 points!

โš ๏ธ High Risk Warning

Multiplier strategies are the easiest to disrupt. A single Sabotage card can reduce your ร—3 to ร—1.5 or worse. Only commit to this if you can protect your multiplier or your opponents lack Sabotage.

Strengths

  • Highest possible scores in the game
  • Can win from behind with one big hand
  • Exciting, memorable plays
  • Opponents must respect your threat

Weaknesses

  • Extremely vulnerable to Sabotage
  • Needs both base AND multiplier
  • Inconsistent results
  • If it fails, it fails hard

๐Ÿ“ฆ Example Hand: The Big Gamble

Total Energy Cost: 10 | Expected Score: 42-60 (or 14-20 if sabotaged)

๐Ÿ’ฅ Supernova (Fire, Multiply) Double Down (Cost 4) Power Boost (Cost 3) Solid Foundation (Cost 3)

Play Sequence

  1. Solid Foundationโ€”build base score first (+6)
  2. Power Boostโ€”add more base score (+5)
  3. Double Downโ€”"Multiply your hand total by 2" (ร—2)
  4. Supernova triggers lastโ€”"If total โ‰ฅ20 before multiply, ร—1.5 additional"

๐ŸŽด Key Cards for Multiplier

ร—2 Multipliers

The foundation. Double Down, Mirror Image, etc.

ร—3 Multipliers

Rare but devastating. Usually Legendary cards.

High Base Cards

Multiplying 5 vs 15 is a huge difference.

Threshold Triggers

"If total โ‰ฅX" cards that add extra multipliers.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Protecting Your Multiplier

  • Cancel cards: Hold a Cancel to negate incoming Sabotage
  • Aura shields: Some Auras protect against effect reduction
  • Play last: Wait until opponents have used their Sabotage elsewhere
  • Bluff small: Don't telegraph your big multiplier until it's too late

โฐ When to Gambit

  • When behind: Need a big swing to catch up
  • Few Sabotage cards in play: Check what opponents drafted
  • Final hands: Opponents may have spent their disruption
  • Fire/Earth Chaos: Best multiplier synergies
